Amatol Speedway

Every day, hundreds of people travel on Moss Mill Road heading to work, school, or just traveling for fun. But, did you know that hidden in the words was a former town and a racetrack? That’s right, it was known as Amatol.

I had the pleasure of doing this project at the site of Amatol Speedway for my video production class at Stockton Unversity. What you are about to see are the remnants of the speedway and its history. The photos alone are breathtaking. You can watch the video at the link here.

To see what this track used to look like is amazing and makes you wonder. If Amatol Speedway was still around today, would it host a major racing event like NASCAR, Indycar, ARCA, or another series in general?
