The NASCAR Xfinity Series concluded the doubleheader weekend Saturday afternoon from Richmond Raceway with Virginia is for Racing Lovers 250. The top fourteen positions were inverted with Tommy Joe Martins on the pole and Brandon Jones starting second. Justin Allgaier, who won last night’s race, started fourteenth. Teams were only allowed to use four sets of tires during the race. The “Choose Cone Rule” was in effect for this race. Two drivers were starting at the back of the field Chad Finchum (engine) and Myatt Snider (backup car).

Brandon Jones would immediately take the lead on the opening lap and led the first 16 laps before Chase Briscoe passed him for the lead. Briscoe would lead 13 laps before losing the lead to Noah Gragson on lap 30. Gragson led eleven laps until the competition caution came out on lap 41. During the caution, Bayley Currey, Joey Gase, and Tommy Joe Martins were the only cars to pit while everyone else stayed out. Noah Gragson choose the outside lane while Justin Allgaier went to the inside for the restart on lap 46. Justin Allgaier would get ahead of Gragson, taking the lead on the same lap. He would lead the last 20 laps to win stage one.

During the caution, Allgaier brought the field down to pit road and would come out first while Gragson was second. Ryan Sieg was caught speeding and had to restart at the back of the field. Allgaier would choose the inside lane with Gragson going to the outside to start stage two on lap 83. Allgaier spun the tires as Ross Chastain went to first while Allgaier fell to third. Chastain led 45 laps before Allgaier would take the position back on lap 128. Colby Howard would hit the wall at turn three to bring out the third caution of the day. During the caution, Chastain, Burton, Herbst, Jeb Burton, and five others went to pit road.

Allgaier would choose the inside lane, and Kaz Grala went to the outside for the restart on lap 146. Chastain would resume the lead one lap later in a three-wide battle with Allgaier and Justin Haley with four laps to go and take the win in stage two. During the caution, Allgaier, Gragson, Jeb Burton, and four others pitted with everyone else staying out.
Ross Chastain choose the inside lane while Justin Haley decided to take the outside to start the final stage on lap 158. Two laps later, Jeb Burton went around Chastain for the lead while Chastain lost the second spot to Allgaier. On lap 172, Allgaier used the outside lane to pass Jeb Burton for the lead. Allgaier began lapping cars with Chase Briscoe becoming the latest driver to go a lap down on lap 208. Riley Herbst would get sideways after making contact with Brandon Brown to bring out the fifth caution of the afternoon at lap 229.

During the caution, Allgaier once again brought the field down to pit road and would come out first. He would choose the inside lane while Jeb Burton went to the outside for the restart on lap 238. Allgaier would go on to lead the last twelve laps to win his third race of the season by 2.185 seconds over Jeb Burton. Austin Cindric clinches the regular-season title with a tenth place finish.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Ross Chastain third, Harrison Burton fourth, Noah Gragson fifth, Justin Haley sixth, Michael Annett seventh, Brandon Jones eighth, Kaz Grala ninth, and Austin Cindric tenth. There were five cautions for 29 laps and nine lead changes.
The playoff point standings right now with one race to go in the regular season are: Chase Briscoe first (6 wins), Austin Cindric second (5 wins), Justin Allgaier third (3 wins), Noah Gragson fourth (2 wins), Brandon Jones fifth (3 wins), Justin Haley sixth (2 wins), Harrison Burton seventh (2 wins) have locked themselves in the playoffs on wins. Ross Chastain eighth, Ryan Sieg ninth, Michael Annett tenth, and Riley Herbst eleventh have qualified for the playoffs based on points. The remaining driver in the playoffs right now is Brandon Brown twelfth. Drivers who are on the outside looking in are Jeremey Clements thirteenth, Myatt Snider fourteenth, Alex Labbe fifteenth, and Josh Williams sixteenth.
The Xfinity Series regular season will conclude next Friday from Bristol Motor Speedway in the Food City 300 at 7:30 pm on NBCSN.
