NASCAR releases Xfinity Series 2021 schedule

On Friday, NASCAR announced the 2021 Xfinity Series schedule. The series will join the Cup Series in 32 of 33 events, including its debut at Circuit of the Americas on Saturday, May 22nd, and a return to Nashville Superspeedway for the first time since 2011 on Saturday, June 19th. The season gets underway at Daytona on Saturday, February 13th, before heading south for the second race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday, February 20th. The lone track they will race at without the Cup Series is Mid-Ohio on Saturday, June 5th.

NASCAR vice president of racing development Brian Kennedy on the 2021 schedule saying, “As was the case with the Cup Series, we’re thrilled to have worked with the industry and our broadcast partners to deliver an exciting Xfinity Series schedule for our fans. We saw phenomenal Xfinity Series racing in 2020, and this schedule allows us to build on that momentum by adding compelling new venues to an already fantastic mix of traditional race tracks.”

The series will have back-to-back weekends off beginning July 24th due to the Tokyo Summer Olympic games before resuming on Saturday, August 7th at Watkins Glen International, followed by another road course race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 14th. The Round of 12 playoffs will begin on Saturday, September 25th at Las Vegas Speedway, followed by the Round of 8 playoffs at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, October 16th, and the championship final from Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, November 6th.

NASCAR also announced that the broadcast schedule will be released at a later date, along with the return of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 2021 schedule. Here is the complete 2021 Xfinity Series schedule.
