Stacy led the first 22 laps of the race in the GS class as the first caution came out for contact between Russell Ward and Scott Maxwell that sent Maxwell off the track and into the tire barrier at turn four. Stacy went to pit road for service, and a driver change occurred with Kyle Marcelli taking over. Tyler McQuarrie took over the lead just before the caution came out. During the caution, both classes went to pit road. The race resumed with an hour and nine minutes left in the race with James Clay (GS) and Max Faulkner (TCR) leading the race.
