New Jersey Motorsports Park 2018 Schedule

New Jersey Motorsports Park released it’s 2018 season schedule and here is what’s on tap for next season. All races are at Thunderbolt Raceway.

            The season kicks off on April 28th and 29th with the Championship Cup Series motorcycle racing first race of the year. You can check out for information about the CCS at the link here http://ccsracing.us/. On May 5th, the NJMP Food Truck Festival that is a free event to attend. On May 12th and 13th, NJMP will once again have the 24 Hours of LeMons race. This series lets racers bring different cars, some are creative which makes this event unique. The next event NJMP will host on May 13th and 14th is the Zerbini Family Circus. Follow by WERA Motorcycle Roadracing on May 26th and 27th. You can check out more information at the link here http://www.wera.com/. One of the changes to New Jersey Motorsports Park schedule is the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race. Last year, the event was held on September 16th and now will be held on June 16th on Father’s Day Weekend. This is the only major racing event held in the month of June. If your dad is a racing fan, consider taking him to the NASCAR race next year. If you don’t know what the event is all about, check out the race from this year.

            After the NASCAR race at NJMP comes the second race of the Championship Cup Series on July 7th and 8th. Followed by the 6th annual AHRMA Vintage Motorcycle Festival and Swap Meet on July 13th through the 15th. On July 21st and 22nd, the SCCA makes its return with the SCCA US Majors Tour. After the Monster Trucks event, the Championship Cup Series will have race 3 on September 1st and 2nd followed by AMA MotoAmerica Superbikes Championship from September 28th to the 30th. The Championship Cup Series makes its return for the 4th and final race of the year on the same weekend as AMA MotoAmerica also from September 28th to the 30th. The final racing event of the 2018 season will be on October 20th is the SCCA Devil In The Dark 12-Hour Endurance Race. Unfortunately, the Trans-Am Series, F1600 Series, F2000 Series and the Atlantic Championship Series are not returning to NJMP next year.
