As the world waits for sports to resume, there is a new group of sports providing entertainment for fans to enjoy, and that is eSports. Since sports halted last month, many people have been turning to movies, binge-watching tv shows or playing video games for entertainment, eSports, on the other hand, is giving sports fans, especially racing fans, some live races to watch.
As many television networks try to find content to show on their networks, many have gone to showing classic games. Fox Sports, on the other hand, partnered with IRacing and NASCAR to show the eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series featuring current NASCAR drivers from all series including the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Camping World Trucks Series. On its inaugural showing at the virtual Texas Motor Speedway, Fox Sports drew 1.339 million viewers. For the second race at the virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway, the race drew 903,000 viewers. The last two events have led to Fox Sports expanding sim racing coverage for the World of Outlaws that starts Wednesday, April 1st, at 9 pm on FS1.
Other racing series have also gotten into the sim racing leagues like IndyCar, which held an event last Saturday at the virtual Barber Motorsports Park. IMSA held an event a couple of weeks ago, the virtual Sebring Raceway. There are plenty of other racing leagues that have sim racing that you can watch on Twitch and YouTube.

The next eNASCAR Pro Invitational race will be on Sunday, April 5th, at 1 pm from the virtual Bristol Motor Speedway on Fox, FS1, and the Fox Sports App.
