On Monday, the Philadelphia Flyers announced they have loaned Samuel Morin from the Taxi Squad to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The 25-year-old from Lac-Beauport, QC, Canada, played four games with the Flyers. The Flyers drafted Morin in the first round of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Before being called up to the Taxi Squad, Morin played one game for the Phantoms in the season opener at Hershey. After the Flyers had seven players go on the COVID protocol list, Morin and other Phantoms players were called up. Morin has played in 171 games for the Phantoms with eight goals and thirty-four assists. In 2015 and 2016, he led the Phantoms in penalty minutes.

The Phantoms are coming off back-to-back losses to the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins over the weekend and will play the Hershey Bears this Wednesday, March 3rd, at 7 pm on AHL.tv. The Phantoms are 2-0 against the Bears this year. The last time they played the Bears was February 20th in a 5-4 overtime win.
