Bret Holmes was still leading the race when it resumed on lap 42 with Michael Self in second place. Drew Dollar was the latest car to suffer a flat left rear tire and headed to pit road. Holmes had a 1.49-second lead as Michael Self and Ty Gibbs were fighting for second. They made contact, and Self suffered some damage to the front of the car.

Once the break was over, the race resumed on lap 73 with Hailie Deegan still in the lead with Sam Mayer second, Taylor Gray third, and Ty Gibbs fourth. Deegan extended her lead by 1.3 seconds over Mayer on lap 85. Bret Holmes was trying to get by Chandler Smith, who was two-laps down, but Holmes blocked him from passing. Holmes took matters in his own hands and spun him at turn one to bring out the third caution of the night.
