Wildwood Motor Events announced on Wednesday that the 2020 Monster Truck Beach races that were scheduled for October 9th through the 11th have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In an email sent to subscribers and on their website, Wildwood Motor Events, LLC sent the following:
Dear Racing Fans,
Wildwood Motor Events, LLC has recently made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Monsters on the Beach: Wildwood NJ Monster Truck Beach Races.
We are devastated to share this news with you. Since our beginning, “the show must go on” has been in our DNA; this will be the first time in 25 years that the trucks will not be racing on Wildwoods beach as we are all now working through the ramifications of the unprecedented situation with Covid-19. The safety of our awesome fans and staff members is of upmost importance to us; during such uncertainty, we believe it’s in everyone’s best interest to cancel the event for this year.
We sincerely apologize to all of our Motor Events family and racing fans. 2020 would be our 25th year in which we had big plans to celebrate our Silver Anniversary with you. We will work closely with the City of Wildwood to establish our 2021 date and we will make our event better than ever as we celebrate 25 years on the beach in the Wildwoods. We’ll be sure to share the 2021 date with you shortly after this summer season.
If you and your family visit the Wildwoods this summer, please be sure to stop into our Monster Truck Ride building, located at Youngs Avenue and the Boardwalk, where our friendly staff will be happy to see you. Take a ride on AmeriCRUSH or Zombie CRUSHER and feel the first-hand excitement of the trucks taking over the Wildwoods beach. Although we’re going to greatly miss you in October, we hope to see you this summer.

As the email stated, the 2020 show would’ve been the 25th anniversary of monster truck racing at the beaches of Wildwood. They will still honor the 25th-anniversary show in 2021. In the meantime, you can ride their monster trucks when you visit Wildwood. The event was scheduled to have ten monster trucks, including two-time winner Cory Rummel in Rage.
