The Philadelphia Flyers on Monday announced that Alex Lyon has been loaned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms as Carter Hart is set to return for tonight’s game against the Florida Panthers. The Flyers are also getting back Joel Farabee from an illness.

Lyon is wrapping up his second call-up stint with the Flyers this year. He played three games and started two for the Flyers going 1-1 with a 3.55 goals-against average with a 0.890 save percentage. This season for the Phantoms, Lyon is 9-13-2 with a 2.59 goals-against average with a 0.916 save percentage, and one shutout win in twenty-five games.
In addition to Lyon’s return, the Flyers announced that goaltender Kirill Ustimenko has been reassigned to the Reading Royals of the ECHL. Ustimenko played his first AHL game on February 8th and made thirty-eight saves and earned his first AHL win. This year with the Reading Royals, Ustimenko is 18-4-5 with one shutout, a 2.48 goals-against average and a 0.916 save percentage in thirty games for the Royals. He was recently named ECHL Goaltender of the Month for January.
The Phantoms will return to the PPL Center Friday night against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 pm.
