Former Philadelphia Soul Head Coach Clint Dolezel was named the new Head Coach of the expansion team Frisco Fighters at today’s team name unveil. The owners of the Frisco Fighters are Steve Germain, along with his wife Kim Germain and their children Jessica, Austin, and Zach. The Germain family also owns Germain Automotive Group, a privately-owned dealership group.

“I’m a Texas boy, through and through,” Dolezel said, “I’m looking forward to getting back into it.”
Clint Dolezel began his Arena Football career in 1995 playing for the Milwaukee Mustangs for two seasons. He then played for the Texas Terrors, who later rebranded themselves as the Houston Thunderbears from 1997 to 1999. Dolezel took a crack at the NFL in 2000 and was a member of the Chicago Bears practice squad.
He returned to the Arena Football League in 2001 for the Grand Rapids Rampage, where the Rampage won Arena Bowl XV over the Nashville Kats. After spending two more years with the Rampage, he would then play for the Las Vegas Gladiators and the Dallas Desperados.
After the AFL folded in 2008, he transitioned into a coach becoming the Offensive Coordinator in 2009 for the AF2’s Florida Firecats. Dolezel returned to the AFL in 2011, coaching the Dallas Vigilantes before becoming the Philadelphia Soul Offensive Coordinator in 2012 than a Head Coach in 2013. During his time in Philadelphia, Dolezel coached the Soul to seven playoff appearances, two division titles, two conference titles, and two championships.
With Dolezel at the helm for the Fighters, Frisco looks to compete against the best teams in the Indoor Football League. The Frisco Fighters opens the 2020 season on March 12th against the Duke City Gladiators.
