IFL Commissioner Michael Allshouse Resigns

By Michael Heilman

The Indoor Football League announced today that IFL Commissioner Michael Allshouse has resigned to pursue new opportunities effective immediately. The IFL has now begun to look for a new commissioner.

Allshouse reflected on his time as IFL Commissioner saying “After ten years of service to the IFL it is the right time for me to step away from the organization,” he continued “I will look back fondly on my experience with the league, but it is time for me to explore other opportunities and challenges as I continue to grow professionally and personally.”

Kathy Treankler, IFL Chairwomen, thanked Allshouse for his hard work saying, “The IFL Board of Directors is grateful for Mike’s years of service and leadership. Although we are sad to see him go, we fully support his decision and are thankful for his many accomplishments at the IFL. We wish him nothing but the best as he continues his professional career.”

Before Michael Allshouse was promoted as IFL Commissioner in 2013, he held several positions in the league as Director of Communications, Director of Football Operations, and Assistant Commissioner. Allshouse has no regrets about his decision saying, “I have always prided myself on leaving a situation in a better position than when I arrived, and I believe we achieved that goal.”
