A familiar name is returning to the Truck Series next year as the primary sponsor with the return of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starting in 2021 which was announced by both NASCAR and Camping World on Tuesday. Camping World was the Truck Series sponsor for nine years before becoming the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series in 2019.

Marcus Lemonis, who is the CEO of Camping World, owns the Gander RV & Outdoors brand and is the star of CNBC’s reality show The Profit, broke the news this morning.

In a statement, Lemonis discussed the return of the Camping World brand, saying, “The transition back to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series demonstrates the continued power of NASCAR’s brand-loyal fan base and creates a broader touchpoint with fans who are RV and Outdoor enthusiasts. We leveraged the series to support the successful launch of our new brand in 2019, and look forward to celebrating the 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Champion in November. The next generation of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is right around the corner, and we’re committed to the series that has delivered for our customers, fans, and the entire Camping World family of brands.”
The Truck Series debuted in 1995 as the NASCAR SuperTruck Series. The series picked up Craftsman as a title sponsor in 1996 that lasted until after the 2008 season before Camping World took over as the title sponsor. The series has seen many legendary drivers from Ron Hornaday Jr., Jack Sprague, Ken Schrader, Bob Keselowski, Mike Skinner, Ted Musgrave, Mike Bliss, and David Green. The series helped paved the way for future stars from Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, and many others.
