As explained on the NWHL site, the team name was inspired by one of Toronto’s nicknames. Inside the logo is a gold maple leaf, which reflects the Golden Horseshoe region in Ontario.

It’s fitting for the new franchise to be called Six since they are sixth franchise to enter the NWHL. The logo was designed by M Style Marketing, who has worked on other NWHL projects like the All-Star jerseys in Nashville, Minnesota, and Boston. The Six uniforms will be unveiled at a later date.

With the logo revealed and the uniforms coming soon, the Six are ready to hit the ice for their inaugural 2020-21 season.
