Denny Hamlin wins the pole for Bank of America ROVAL 400

Denny Hamlin won the pole for this Sunday’s Bank of America Roval 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the final race of the Round of 12 playoffs. He won the pole by virtue of a metric qualifying system that takes into account the drivers finishing positions from previous races, team owner points, and fastest laps of earlier races. Starting next to him is Chase Elliott. The race will be broadcasted on Sunday, October 11th, at 2:30 pm on NBC. Here is the rest of the starting lineup.
