Go Fas Racing announced today that they will enter into a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing beginning in 2020. With the new alliance, GFR will get chassis, data, and technical support from Stewart-Haas Racing.
In a press release by Go Fas Racing, which you can read here, team owner Archie St. Hilaire expressed what this alliance means for his team, saying, “I can’t thank all of the great people at SHR for the opportunity to align with them. All of this couldn’t have happened without the help of our wonderful sponsors and marketing partners. GFR has improved every year in our six years in the NASCAR Cup Series, and I believe that the best is yet to come for this little team and our great group of employees.”
Stewart-Haas Racing Vice President of Competition Greg Zipadelli stated: “This arrangement will allow Go Fas Racing to improve its performance in 2020 and position itself for future growth.”
Go Fas Racing currently fields one car driven by Cory LaJoie in the #32 Ford Mustang car. This year, LaJoie had two top-ten finishes and seven top twenty finishes and three dnfs. His average starts are 29.5, and his finishing average is 25.1. This new alliance could also mean that Stewart-Haas is planning to move Cole Custer up to the Cup series next year.
