Impact Wrestling next television deal should be

Coming off their biggest pay-per-view of the year Bound for Glory last month, Impact Wrestling recently had their television show bumped down to the 10 pm slot by POP TV. Usually, this means that the tv network is severing ties with them as their contract is expiring at the end of the year. With that, Impact Wrestling is left without a home in 2019. Here are the top three networks that Impact Wrestling could consider as their next home.1. Stadium

Stadium is a sports network that is owned by a majority of companies including Sinclair Broadcasting, which also owns Ring of Honor wrestling. Stadium currently has its channel on Pluto TV, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and other Sinclair own networks. Back in 2015 when Impact Wrestling was on Destination America, they not only aired Impact Wrestling but also Ring of Honor as well. If Impact Wrestling can form a partnership with Ring of Honor, they might find themselves on Stadium or another Sinclair own network.

2. Twitch

Impact Wrestling has a 24-hour channel that airs classic matches, shows, and some live events on Twitch. Twitch is a popular gaming site that has started to expand into other categories besides gaming. Twitch has an average of 15 million users daily so Impact could still have an audience while they search for their next home. If they cannot get a television deal in time before 2019 begin, this may be the best solution.

3. Ion Television

This one is a long shot. Ion Television used to be the home of WWE Main Event back in 2012. Ion Television currently covers all top 20 U.S markets and 70 stations nationwide. It has reached 85% of the population with over 102 million households and is available free to tv, cable, satellite and streaming devices. If Impact Wrestling could get Ion on board with its brand, it would reach a new fan base across the country.

It will be interesting to see where Impact Wrestling’s next television deal will be in 2019. A deal, wherever that may be, is crucial for them as there are some big-name free agents available next year that will be looking for new contracts and if Impact can get some of them, they could help boost ratings.
