On Thursday, Kaulig Racing announced that they intend to run a limited Cup Series schedule for 2021, beginning in Daytona. They will run some superspeedways and road courses. The team announced it is seeking partnerships and will announce its driver and selected tracks later.

Team owner Matt Kaulig’s statement on the limited schedule said, “Kaulig Racing is always building toward the future, and I believe this is the next step in that process. We have the ultimate goal of becoming a powerhouse team in the Cup Series, and we are excited to continue our team’s growth.”
Kaulig Racing ran one race last year at Daytona with Justin Haley behind the wheel and finished 13th at the Daytona 500.
The team has been successful in the Xfinity Series dating back to 2016. In 2020, the team won three-races, ten top-five, and 21 top-ten finishes. Haley competed in the championship four, finishing in eighth place and finished third in the standings. In five-years with the Xfinity Series, they have competed in 226 races with seven wins, two poles, 41 top-five, and 107 top-ten finishes. Kaulig Racing is located in Kernersville, NC.
The Xfinity Series starts Saturday, February 13th, and the Cup Series starts Sunday, February 14th, both from Daytona.
