Martin Truex Jr. wins the pole for this Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400

Coming off his 29th career win at Martinsville Speedway last Sunday. Martin Truex Jr. will lead the field to green after winning the pole for this Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 from Richmond Raceway. Truex won the pole by a metric qualifying system.

The metric qualifying system determines a driver’s finishing position from the previous race, car owner’s finishing position from the previous race, team owner points rankings, and fastest lap from the previous race. Starting next to Truex is his teammate Denny Hamlin, who qualified second. The race will air live this Sunday, April 18th, at 3 pm on FOX.
