The Daytona Road Course will now have two races next year, with the Clash at Daytona on February 9th. Chase Elliott won the inaugural Daytona Road Course race this year. He will compete in the Rolex 24 at Daytona next month, along with former seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson.
Daytona International Speedway opened in 1959 with the first road course race called the Daytona 3-Hour Continental in 1962. The road course is 3.81-mile and is famous for the Rolex 24 at Daytona that is held on the last week of January.
NASCAR also announced that the Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series exact dates and times will be released soon.
