New tracks, more road courses part of 2021 NASCAR Cup Series schedule

On Wednesday, NASCAR released the 2021 schedule featuring 37 races across the United States. The season will start on February 14th with the Daytona 500 and conclude November 7th from Phoenix Raceway. The schedule also includes one doubleheader weekend at Pocono Raceway, two races each at Atlanta and Darlington, a dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the All-Star race at Texas Motor Speedway, and a visit to Road America that will mark the first time since 1956 on the fourth of July weekend. NASCAR will also make its debut in Austin, TX, at Circuit of the Americas on May 23rd.

Two racetracks will not be returning are Chicagoland Speedway and Kentucky Speedway. The postseason will begin with the Round of 16 at Bristol, the Round of 12 at the Charlotte Roval, Martinsville Speedway for the Round of 8, followed by the final four at Phoenix Raceway.
