The National Women’s Hockey League announced today that the Buffalo Beauts will play the Metropolitan Riveters in the Buffalo Believes Classic outdoor game on December 28, 2019, at 6:30 pm from the RiverWorks located on the banks of the Buffalo River. Capacity for the Buffalo Believes Classic is estimated to be around one thousand fans.
“We’re proud and honored to host the Buffalo Believes Classic with the Beauts and the NWHL,” said Sean Green, director of athletics and sponsorship at RiverWorks. “It’s going to be a fantastic day shining a light on women’s hockey.”
The NWHL drops the puck for the 2019-20 season on October 5th. All NWHL games can be streamed on Cheddar, Twitter, and YouTube.
The NWHL was established in 2015 and currently has five teams in the league. The teams are the Boston Pride, Buffalo Beauts, Metropolitan Riveters, Connecticut Whale and Minnesota Whitecaps.
