The Semi-finals of the NWHL Isobel Cup was played Sunday afternoon when the Metropolitan Riveters took on the defending Isobel Cup champions Minnesota Whitecaps from the Northtown Center, and the Connecticut Whale traveled to the Warrior Ice Arena against the Boston Pride.
Metropolitan Riveters 0, Minnesota Whitecaps 1 OT
Regulation was not enough to determine who would move on to the Isobel Cup finals as the game went to overtime. Allie Thunstrom scored the winning goal in overtime to send the Whitecaps back to the Isobel Cup finals with a 1-0 win over the Metropolitan Riveters.

Both goalies were outstanding as Riveters goalie Sam Walther was thirty of thirty-one saves, allowing one goal while Whitecaps goalie Amanda Leveille earned the shutout win, saving all twenty-eight shots.
The three stars of the game were Whitecaps goalie Amanda Leveille with twenty-eight saves, Riveters goalie Sam Walther with thirty saves, and Whitecaps forward Allie Thunstrom with one goal.
Connecticut Whale 1, Boston Pride 5
The best team in the NWHL punched their ticket into the Isobel Cup final with a 5-1 win over the Connecticut Whale. The goals scored for the Boston Pride were Emily Fluke, Jillian Dempsey, Christina Putigna, Kaleigh Fratkin, and Jordan Juron. Pride goalie Lovisa Selander nearly had a shutout going twenty-nine of thirty saves allowing one goal.

On the other side, the only goal scored for Connecticut was Grace Klienbach. Connecticut goalie Brooke Wolejko was forty-five of forty-nine saves allowing five goals.
The Boston Pride will host the defending Isobel Cup champion Minnesota Whitecaps next Friday at 7:15 pm from the Warrior Ice Arena. The Whitecaps are the only team to defeat the Boston Pride this year.
