On Wednesday, Alex Bowman of Hendrick Motorsports won the pole for the Daytona 500, and his teammate William Byron qualified second to set the front row. On Thursday night, the Bluegreen Vacations duels took place to set the rest of the field. Ty Dillon, Garrett Smithley, Timmy Hill, and Noah Gragson’s dreams were dashed at making the 500 while others now have a chance to etch their name in the history books.
Pole sitter Alex Bowman had issues with the car during the first duel, while William Byron was involved in a wreck in the second duel and will have to start in the back on Sunday. The Daytona 500 takes place on Sunday, February 14th, at 2:30 pm on FOX.
